Pontoon and Bridge:
At LWMS there is barely 1 metre of water at the outer ends of the pontoons and the tidal range can be as much as 5.5 to 6 metres. The bottom is soft, sticky black mud and slopes gently to the shore. There are no stones or rocks.
Corresponding depth at moorings is 3 - 4 metres on the inner trot and 5 - 6 metres on the outer. The 6 visitor moorings were overhauled in June 2018.
